JUST DO IT NOW!!!

Have you ever considered doing something great for a loved one or making a difference in the world but feel your resources is not just enough and so you wait for the resources and the time to be right? There have been stories of people having great plans and dreams of changing the world positively but never get to, not because they do not have the intention and drive to, but because they believe such dreams can only be achieved when the resources are enough to achieve these dreams all at a go; whilst they wait, they sometimes lose the beneficiaries of these dreams to death or other events or they never get to gather just enough resources to fulfil these dreams or are distracted with other problems/responsibilities when eventually the resources are available. Whatever your dreams are of putting smiles on the faces of loved ones and/or others, do not wait for the right time or the right resources, just start with what you have and do it now!
It is always better to start small and start now. ‘Time’ they say ‘wait for no one’ and since no one knows what the next minute holds, it is only advisable to plan and live each day like there is no tomorrow.
Loved ones are like flowers that add beauty, fragrance and life to our world. In this world of survival of the fittest, if you are lucky to have that one person that got your back, believe in you and has/would go miles for you, cherish them and celebrate them as often as you can while they are alive. Better to spend the little you have celebrating them before the big plan comes through than waiting for the big plan to happen while doing nothing for them but going the extra mile to give them a ‘befitting burial’ when they are gone. While you have not gotten the big job/business/contract yet, celebrate them with the little income that comes in even when you think it is too small or cannot be compared with what they have done for you.
Do not assume they don’t need those little things, what matters is the heart. So instead of waiting to build that mansion or buy that expensive car for them when you ‘hammer’ start small by sending them as little as recharge cards, money, beverages and other ‘little’ things. If you are consistent with these little things while they are alive, when eventually you have the big breakthrough of fulfilling the big plans for them, it will be a win-win situation and if in the process you lose them, you can have a consolation in the fact that you were able to do one little thing during their time and those memories will bring smiles and not hunt you, better be late than never.
Sometimes, touching lives and changing the world does not really require much but what we have at the time. You don’t really need to be a Bill Gates to turn someone’s life around, start with that little child in your vicinity that is of school age but does not have the means to go to school. You could enrol him/her in a government/private school nearby or a vocational trade, trust me, you would be amazed how much some of these school fees are, they can be as cheap as our monthly internet/cable TV subscription, our votes for housemates in reality TV shows or the treats we give ourselves. Remember, it is more blessed to give than to receive, besides, this simple act of kindness may help take off just one more future ‘agbero’ or hardened criminal off the street or put food on the table of a family in the present/future or help in discovering a future inventor and you would have lived for a course that is larger than life.

It could also be in form of material things such as used clothes/shoes/books. Instead of burning or trashing your used clothes/shoes/books and other valuables, why not use it to bless someone who is in need of it, those items may be the answers to someone else’s prayers. Be someone’s sunshine when their skies are grey. Most people hide under the guise of the evil some wicked people may do with these items, while this may be true, you can pray on those items and allow God to lead you to the right people who truly are in need of the items as whoever gives to the poor lends to God and HE rewards them for what they have given. If you don’t know anyone in need of the items, give them to the beggars on the street or take to a worship centre or a school, in the case of books and academic materials.
In Ronald Reagan’s words, we can’t help everyone but everyone can help someone. We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give. Living life for just ME, MYSELF and MY family is the most selfish and wicked thing any man can do to mankind especially in a world filled with poverty. As tough as it may be and as poor as you may think you are, where you are presently is someone else’s prayer point, so, never stop putting smiles on the faces of your loved ones, strangers and the poor with the little you have, trust me you may forget that little act(s) but the beneficiary(ies) will always remember even if they never get to pay you back, you will be rewarded in the long run but most importantly, live with the joy and peace of knowing you have touched just one more life. Don’t wait for the right time or resources just start NOW and with the little you have!

True talk ! My uncle told his mum,
ReplyDeleteHe said; mum, I am taking care of you now and may the Lord continue to help me to do so continually. I will not be involved in any funeral ceremony when you are gone!!! May the Lord spare my live!!! This sounded untraditional but it's the fact.
Do all for your neighbours that you ought to do today, who can tell? You may do more tomorrow.
Thank you very much madam
Very inspiring
